IN DARKNESS AND LIGHT  WORKS BY JOHN BAUER AND ZORN

In the summer of 2026, the Zorn Museum will be hosting an exhibition of works by John Bauer and Anders Zorn. The forest and nature were something that interested both of these artists, even though they approached the theme from different starting points; one focused on reality, the play of light among trees and bushes, the reflections and play of water, the other was captivated by the darkness of the forest, its mystery and fairy tale nature. Zorn contributed to creating the image of Dalarna as a Swedish ideal; John Bauer shaped our view on the forest. In this exhibition, the two masters meet.
